ITINERARY
Day 1: Departure to Amboseli National Park and evening game drive
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by the team representative for a meet, greet and safari briefing. Afterward, you will depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park, approximately 4-hour drive. You will arrive at around lunch time for check-in and lunch. Later in the evening you will set out for evening game drive at Amboseli National Park and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
Day 2: Full day game drive in Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive into the home of large herds of elephants and the Kilimanjaro royal court. The game drive takes you to Kenya's premium park, Amboseli National Park. The park is rich in wildlife, from up close free-ranging African Elephants to experiencing the epic view of the tallest mountain in Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro. You will also visit Observation hill, where you can view the entire park in 360 degrees from the top. You will have picnic lunch in the park and proceed with the game drive until evening.
Day 3: Departure to Naivasha, boat safari and Crescent Island walking safari
After an early and steamy breakfast, you will set out for Lake Naivasha. Which is approximately 6-hour drive. Upon arrival you will check in to Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort, have lunch then go for a boat safari in Lake Naivasha. The boat will take you to Crescent Island where you will enjoy a walk alongside animals for about an hour. The boat will then take you back to the mainland before you take the drive back to the resort.
Day 4: Departure to Lake Nakuru National Park and afternoon game drive
After an early and steamy breakfast, you will set out for Lake Nakuru which is approximately 2-hour drive. On arrival, you will check in to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge and have lunch. Afterwards you will go for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park then later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Morning game drive in Nakuru, Transfer to Masai Mara, Maasai village cultural tour
After a heartwarming breakfast, you will check out of the lodge. You will have a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park before exiting the park and starting the journey to Masai Mara, which will be approximately 5-hour drive. Upon arrival you will check in to Mara Sweet Acacia Lodge for lunch. You will then visit the Maasai village, immersing yourself in the rich culture of the Masai people. At the village, you will learn about Maasai customs, traditions, and way of life, witness their intricate beadwork and warrior dances, and perhaps even purchase a handcrafted souvenir to support their community.
Day 6: Full day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve
After early morning breakfast, you will depart for a full day game drive in the wild at the plains of Masai mara National Reserve. You will leave with packed lunch for a full day in the bush. During the game drive, you will see different wild animals including the big cats such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and Serval cat. If lucky you will get to see real hunting and may be the cats bringing down a kill. Additionally, during the migration period, you will get to witness one of the world wonders; the great wildebeest migration, which involves millions of wildebeests, zebra and antelopes migrating from Serengeti to Masai Mara in search of greener pastures. You will also see other wildlife including Elephants, Buffaloes, Wildebeests, Zebras, Elands, Topi, Giraffes, Impalas, Hippos, Crocodiles among others. A picnic Lunch will be served in the bush in the midst of Mara Plains and continue with game drive for the remaining part of the day. Be ready to ask questions for your driver guide is much informed about the wildlife. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Transfer to Nairobi
After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and head to Nairobi approximately 6 hours’ drive. You will arrive in the afternoon. Upon arrival, your driver/guide will drop you off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your outbound flight.
