Detailed itinerary

DAY 1: MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK (Evening Game Drive)

On arrival at the airport, you will be met by a Yulle Adventures representative for a meet and greet and briefing on the safari. Drive to Mikumi National Park for 4 to 5 hrs from Dar es Salaam . On arrival, check in at the hotel and have lunch. Head out at around 3:00pm to 6:30 for an evening game drive where you get to see and experience the wildlife in their natural setting. The game drive includes exploration at the artificial hippo pools filled with a breathtaking school of hippos. Head back to the hotel for dinner and relaxation.

DAY 2: UDZUNGWA NATIONAL PARK HIKING

Early morning breakfast at 6am. At 7 am, drive to the park for check in then take the Sanje Trail Hike. Nature Lovers can explore mountain forests for a number of rare, endemic and endangered species of flora and fauna including endemic species of Sanje Mangabey, Iringa red colobus and endemic Udzungwa Forest Partridge and Rufous wing sunbird. The park also has variety of landforms including rolling hills, mountains, valleys, and waterfalls that makes it outstanding scenic. Lunch will be at the view point on top of the waterfall which is the biggest waterfall in National park system in Tanzania, The Sanje waterfall with 170m. After Lunch descend from the mountain and drive back to the hotel for relaxation, enjoyment of hotel amenities and dinner.

DAY 3: MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK (Morning Game Drive) - DEPARTURE

Early morning breakfast at 6am. At 6:30 am, drive to the park for check in then have a 4-hour morning game drive till 11am. In this game drive you get to see the expansive Mkata floodplain which is perfect for seeing the pride of lions as they idly count the steps of their prey which mostly consist of large herds of buffaloes, wildebeests, impalas and zebras with wild dogs. Get to see the majestic elephants and giraffes besides the acacia trees, so scenic! Hereafter, check out and drive back to Dar es Salaam. Be dropped at the Hotel, or Airport.
