ITINERARY
Day 1: Departure to Samburu National Reserve and afternoon game drive
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by your tour guide. You will then start the drive to Samburu National Reserve and arrive by lunch time. You will check in to Samburu Sopa Lodge, have lunch and relax then later go for an afternoon game drive.
Day 2: Morning and evening game drive in Samburu National Reserve
You will leave the lodge at around 6am as you head out for an early morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Morning and evening game drives are the best as these are the time when animals are in their most active state. You will later go back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later in the evening, you will go for another game drive if you so wish.
Day 3: Departure to Lake Nakuru National Park and afternoon game drive
You will check out of Samburu Sopa Lodge after breakfast and start the journey to Nakuru. On arrival, you will check in to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, have lunch then later go for a guided game drive. You will enjoy the game drive until evening then head back to the lodge.
Day 4: Morning game drive in Nakuru, departure to Masai Mara and Maasai village cultural tour
You will enjoy your last game drive in Nakuru as you exit the park. You will then take a 5-hour drive to Masai Mara and arrive by lunch time. You will check in to Mara Sweet Acacia Lodge, have lunch and relax. Your guide will then pick you later as you head to the Maasai village for a cultural tour. You will be taken through the Maasai culture, homestead, songs and dances. You will also have a chance to purchase hand-made souvenirs in the village if you so wish.
Day 5: Full day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve
On this day you will leave the lodge after breakfast and go for a full day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve. You will have your picnic lunch in the reserve. You will then proceed with the game drive until evening. Your tour guide will then take you back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Departure to Nairobi
This is your last day in Kenya. You will check out of the lodge and start the journey back to Nairobi. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon. Your guide/driver will drop you off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where he will bid you good-bye as you wait to board your flight back home.
